We are pleased to welcome back one of our most-requested speakers – NRCA’s Mark Graham. Mark not only talks about how the various codes have changed, but why. More than that, he explains how those changes affect real-world installations.
Mark will be updating us on many of the recent code and technical changes affecting the industry, but he is also willing to address any questions that you might have. If you have a question, please be sure to let us know on your registration form.
Graham joined NRCA in 1993 and is responsible for the association’s Technical Services Section which responds to inquiries for technical information and assistance. He serves as the association’s technical liaison with outside organizations and develops and maintains the association’s technical documents, including The NRCA Roofing and Waterproofing Manual.
Graham is the staff liaison to NRCA’s Technical Operations Committee and Manual Update Committee. He also is contributing editor for Professional Roofing magazine. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Crane Safety for Roofing Contractors – You Can’t Afford To Wait!
Associated Training Services
7190 Elder Lane | Sun Prairie, WI 53590 | MAP
Reception – 4:00 p.m. | Program – 4:30 p.m.
Dinner – 5:45 p.m. | Q & A/WRCA Update – 6:30 p.m.
Our September program will be on crane safety and rather than bring an instructor to us, we’re going to go to them! Associated Training Services in Sun Prairie has invited us to hold our meeting at their location and given the additional space, we’ve invited our Associate Members who provide crane sales and rental services to join us with some of their equipment. This will be a hands-on and interactive session for owners and anyone involved with project safety.
Our speaker is Dan Swiggum, Chief Crane Instructor at Associated Training Services (ATS). Dan is an NCCCO certified crane operator and has been a NCCCO Practical Examiner since 2008. Dan is also a certified Craft Instructor thru the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
ATS is an Associate Member of WRCA and is the oldest family- owned training center for CDL drivers, heavy equipment operators, crane operators, and rigging and signalpersons.
During dinner, attendees will be encouraged to discuss the program materials and to think about real-world applications. Following dinner, we will have a Q & A period and roundtable discussions to help you better understand the real-world application of what you have learned. Your registration includes the program, dinner, and a drink ticket.
Non-Member guests are welcome.

For our October meeting, we’re trying something different. The WRCA is going bowling! Sure, we’ve done golf outings, sporting clays, and pheasant hunts around this time of year, but consider the advantages of bowling by comparison:
It’s really hard to lose a ball.
You don’t have to load a bowling ball.
Weather’s not a factor.
If you have a hook, that’s a good thing.
If you have a slice, it will probably be pepperoni.
If you have a Chihuahua (or some other non-hunting breed) you can finally bring your dog to a WRCA event.
You get to wear really cool shoes.
And it’s fun!
Space is limited, so register today!
Registration is just $40.00 per person and includes three games of bowling, shoes, pizza/appetizers, drink ticket, and door prizes.
We hope you’ll join us for this event!
Non-Member guests are welcome!

The WRCA Christmas Party will be held at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee! The hotel was opened in late 2014, so this is one of the newest – and best – meeting locations in the State! Built at a cost of more than $150 million, the hotel is fresh, modern and offers great views of the downtown area. In addition, the bars and entertainment have made this a premier destination location. And did we mention yet that the hotel is attached to a casino?
