For our January meeting, the WRCA is hitting the road!

On January 21 and 22, the Chicago Roofing Contractors Association will be holding its annual tradeshow and seminars.  They put on a great show down there and while we’d love to have something in Wisconsin, it makes more sense to take advantage of everything they have to offer.  So, we’ve arrange for a bus to take our members and their guests to the Drury Lane Conference Center in Oakbrook Terrace, site of this year’s show!

We’ll have a pick up in the Fox Valley (9:30 a.m.) and another in Oak Creek (11:30 a.m.).  Lunch will be served on the bus and you’ll be dropped off at the convention center around 1:30 p.m., giving you about three hours to walk the show.  We’ll board the bus again and make our way back to Wisconsin, stopping for dinner before arriving back in Milwaukee (7:30 p.m.) and the Fox Valley (9:30 p.m.)

Please note that you must register separately for the CRCA Trade Show.  To register, click HERE (www.crca.org/crca_events/trade.htm).  The show is free to attend.  Registration through WRCA covers the cost of the bus, gratuity, lunch, dinner, and refreshments on the bus.

The show features over 150 exhibitors.  For a listing of vendors as of November 20, click HERE

We encourage you to come to this informative meeting!  Non-Member guests are welcome.

One of our most popular and well-attended meetings of the past two years has been a roundtable discussion among the various manufacturers’ representatives that are part of the WRCA.  We’ve asked them to join us again this year to discuss market insights as well as technical insights that relate to the Wisconsin market.

This will be a moderated program with questions being posed to our panelists.  Panelists include representatives from Firestone, Carlisle, GAF, Johns Manville, Sika Sarnafil, and Versico.  Other companies may still be added.

If you have a question for the group, please be sure to provide it on the registration form.

We encourage you to come to this informative meeting!

    Non-Member guests are welcome.

Some of our most highly-attended and talked about programs over the past several years have been the ones when Congressman Reid Ribble has joined us.  Always insightful, this will be our last chance to welcome Reid back while he is serving as Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.  Earlier this year, Congressman Ribble announced that he would not seek reelection and that he would be returning to the private sector.

We hope you’ll join us as we welcome back Congressman Reid Ribble and learn more about his time in Congress, insights into the upcoming elections, and his plans for after he has left office.

And if that’s not enough for you, our meeting will be held at Lambeau Field, likely the most well-known structure within the Congressman’s District and arguably, the most beloved stadium in all of sports!  Enter the stadium at the American Family Insurance gate and head to the 4th Floor Indoor Club Rooms for our reception, lunch, and presentation.  Following the meeting, you will have the option to tour the Packers’ Hall of Fame (ticket included with your registration) or, if you choose, continue your conversations in one of the bars in the stadium and return to the Hall of Fame at another time.  (The meeting itself ends at 1:15 p.m.  and the HOF takes 60-90 minutes on a self-guided tour.)

We encourage you to come to this informative meeting!

Safety isn’t just something you do on a jobsite.  Safety is a perspective – a way of looking at a company, its employees, its projects, and its customers.  Safety is about planning, execution, and keeping score and the payoff for good safety can be significant.

Our speaker for this meeting is Shawn Christon, President of Consulting Training Services (CTS).  Shawn and CTS are familiar to many as he has worked with many of our members as a safety consultant/director.

Shawn will use his nearly twenty years of experience as a safety professional – assistance with OSHA inspections, training, safety plans and hazard analysis, and pre-job safety evaluations – to provide insights into project safety.  As part of his presentation, he will discuss some of the recent changes at OSHA and provide insights into how these changes may affect your operations.

The WRCA is going bowling again and we hope YOU will join us!  Last year was out first year doing a bowling event and the response and feedback exceeded our expectation.

Bowling is great because it’s a good thing to have a hook and if you have a slice, it will likely be pizza washed down with a cold beer.  We know weather won’t be a factor and hey, where else can you go and just borrow a pair of shoes for a few hours.

Mostly, bowling is just good fun and a great way to enjoy some time with your peers in the industry.

Space is limited, so register today!  Registration is just $40.00 per person and includes three games of bowling, shoes, pizza/appetizers, drink ticket, and door prizes.
